IBe Remit

Welcome Arun
Thanks for the info.
When I add a Bank a/c different from posb/dbs,its asking for bank code blah blah ..
then I see the limitation for the other bank accounts to only 500 dollar.

I will go back and recheck.

I need to create an account in ICICI.

Once u have opened an account with ICICI, u can register with Money2india. U have to do your transaction in money2india and with that u will be provided with a reference number. Then u have to log in with your DBS / POSB account and under funds transfer u can transfer the amount to ICICI with the reference number u got it from Money2india. The amount will be deposited in 24hrs. Arun

Hi Kumar:
I think you dont have much awareness on how the ICICI's
ICICI still provides the service to all DBS account holders. All that you need is to:
i) create a profile in their website
ii) Provide details of the benefeciary (they even send a DD in case the benefeciary doesnt have an account with ICICI)
iii) transfer the amount to ICICI using iBanking from DBS/POSB account.
There is absolutely no need to go to any branches and I have done such online transfers without any hassle.
Cheers
D the Dreamer.
BTW, I saw you disembarking from the train at JE station, I think some time last week. Didnt have time to say hi, but I recogonized you instantly.
